Jimmy
Cliff
How
many people could you legitimately call a living
legend? Not many, but Jimmy Cliff is one. Some
voices are ideal for pulling us into positivity,
and Cliff seems put on Earth with this purpose in
mind.
He helped turn the world on to the good vibes of reggae,
thanks to his starring role and music for the film The
Harder They Come — one of the biggest-selling
reggae albums of all time — and a stellar career,
characterized by sublime songs like "Wonderful
World, Beautiful People" and "You Can Get
It If You Really Want."
To see a legend of reggae tearing it up, laying down
powerful, skanky rhythms with profound messages at
The Klein, will make for a special night indeed. |

intricate arrangements and intriguing compositions
as it does the Chapman Stick itself. The tones
and textures are sonically intoxicating, the level
of musicianship is simply staggering. This is

Todd
Sheaffer (of railroad earth)
| When
you see Todd, you're seeing him perform music from
three different parts of his life. One being From
Good Homes, another, his solo career, and
the last being Railroad Earth. The startling
and swift success of Railroad Earth is due in large
part to front man, guitarist, lead vocalist and powerhouse
songwriter, Todd Sheaffer. His gifted songwriting skills
encroach on the realms of Dylan and Neil Young,
but of course makes his songs a style that suits all
of the bands and arrangements he's played in, really
well. |

A
tour de force of horn-fired blues. So tight and so
right.

blend of swing, rock 'n' roll, jump, blues and soul
has earned it five Grammy Award nominations and
a slew of other accolades, including seven Blues
