 RYAN MONTBLEAU BAND
After yet another masterful performance, this time at the 2007 High Sierra Music Festival, singer-songwriter and guitarist Ryan Montbleau has claimed the status of JamBase’s New Favorite Band. After witnessing Montbleau’s passionate delivery, deft finger-picking and the fabulous counter-point of his band’s jazz-influenced dexterity we couldn’t deny Montbleau for this month’s pick. Rising from the coffeehouses of Boston, Montbleau’s forward thinking folk-based music is captured beautifully on his 2006 studio debut One Fine Color. While the album turned us on, it was what Montbleau did live that really sealed the deal. Keep an eye on this rising star and get a listen to him right now on Rhapsody and on MySpace.
