Steve Kimock Crazy Engine welcomes long-time friends and very special guests Bernie Worrell (Parliament/Funkadelic, Talking Heads) and Bobby Vega (Sly and the Family Stone, KVHW, ZERO) to the Sellersville Theater. This special one-night performance will feature some of the best improvised rock music found on the scene today. Expect heavy-funk driven bass lines, psychedelic keyboard chemistry and the soaring fat-toned guitar that only Kimock can deliver.

No matter what project he plays in, guitarist Steve Kimock is the quintessential musician. From his earliest days as a teen growing up in the Lehigh Valley and then joining the Bay Area music scene in the 70’s, Steve Kimock has been inspiring with his guitar speak. Kimock co-founded the Jazz/Rock quintessential band Zero in the 80’s, KVHW in the 90’s, Steve Kimock Band in 2000, and is currently performing with Crazy Engine. He is widely embraced by fans as one who carries the free-form torch of improvisation, through an extensive catalog of original material in his own bands, as well as through live performances with so many esteemed musicians, performing alongside the likes of Bruce Hornsby, John Cipollina Jerry Garcia and all members of the Grateful Dead (he had stints with Ratdog, Phil Lesh & Friends, Rhythm Devils and the Other Ones), as well as Peter Frampton, Bonnie Raitt, The Allman Brothers, Buddy Miles, Buddy Cage, Screamin’ Jay Hawkins, Joe Satriani, Baaba Maal, Angelique Kidjo, Elvin Bishop, Steve Winwood, Derek Trucks, all members of Phish, Ivan Neville, Grace Slick, Papa John Creach, Norton Buffalo, Amos Garrett, Warren Haynes, Nicky Hopkins and many more.

Bernie Worrell first came to prominence as a founding member and Musical Director of Parliament/Funkadelic. While this massively influential supergroup was radically altering the course of music, Bernie was radically charting the course of emerging keyboard technology during the golden age of analog synthesis. Accomplished bassist Bobby Vega began his professional career in San Francisco, CA at age 16 with Sly and the Family Stone. Co-founding KVHW in the late 90’s with Steve Kimock, his musical craft continues to develop into a complex and heady blend of rhythm & blues, rock funk and improvisation. He is instrumental in laying down thick grooves as well as being a driving creative force in all of his musical endeavors. Joining this supergroup is Kimock’s son, drummer John Morgan Kimock, a powerhouse prodigy in his own right. This amazing line-up with other surprise guests is exclusive to the Sellersville Theatre and not to be missed!
