Two
years ago, a chance meeting in New York City reunited Marco
Benevento and Joe Russo - musicians who had played
together as youngsters - and spawned the formation of the genre-busting,
altogether original duo, recently rocking New Yorkers thirsting
after a new sound. Comprised of a Hammond B-3 and the drums,
the Duo have created a sound deeply routed in experimental
and interactive music. |

Tenor saxophone player, keyboardist and all around sound effects
engineer is more or less impossible to categorize. Founding
member of Critters Buggin, Skerik has been known
to fraternize with the Black Flames, Crack Sabbath,
Garage A Trois (with Mike Dillon, Stanton Moore and Charlie
Hunter), SadHappy, Tuatara (with Peter Buck of
R.E.M.), Ponga, and the 4,000 year old tradition of the
Master Musicians of Jajouka with Bachir and Mustafa Attar to
name a few. All of this musical pollination has led JamBase
to theorize, "The rotation of our planet is somehow connected
with this outer space super hero." |

Hairy Apes BMX (HABMX) from Austin, TX, are a band knitting
their own deep pocket in the Post-Modern Experimental Revolution.
They combine Mike Dillon on vibes, tablas, percussion,
and vocals, E Clarke Wyatt on keyboards and electronics,
John Speice on drums, percussion and JJ "Jungle"
Richards on bass. HABMX will rock your world with music
that is infectious, innovative and extremely energetic. Heavy
on the butt moving experience, Hairy Apes BMX (Butt Moving Xperience)
