The summer concert series is a great way to get out with the family. Plus they're free!
The summer shows at Levitt Shell are free - bring a blanket, a picnic and your friends.
Built in 1936, the Shell once hosted acts like Elvis and Big Star. After years of disrepair it reopened in 2008 with help from the Levitt Foundation and is once again a great place to see live music.
Go to the free kid-friendly concerts on Tuesdays and Saturdays in July.
1954, Elvis played his first paid gig at the Shell. The headline act that evening and big star at the time was Slim Whitman. Elvis stole the show and Whitman went on to sell over 100 million albums.
