“The acoustics were just absolutely wonderful.”
— Violinist Itzhak Perlman on NBC’s Tomorrow Show
“Without question, the Smith Opera House is one of (if not the) most perfectly constructed of concert halls, with the kind of acoustics that performers can only dream of experiencing every night… This is a world-class performance hall that should become a destination for all professional musicians, dancers, and actors lucky enough to be booked there.”
— Christine Lavin, in the Finger Lakes Times, Jan. 2, 2003.
The Smith Opera House is a perfect venue for taking in a live performance of music, dance, theater or speech. The performances on stage range from modern rock concerts, children’s theater, community theater, and live presentations. Additionally, the historic theater is used to show movies on the over 40 foot screen! The Smith Center for the Arts presents many of the live performances you see on the stage, but promoters are also responsible for live events, as well as local theater groups such as Geneva Concerts and Geneva Theatre Guild, as well as Hobart & William Smith Colleges.
Hey ASSHOLE, tapers go in taper section. Not just where you choose to set up your crap. You are blocking 1/3 of the crowd dickhead.
What a fun place to go
Just an FYI...there is no air conditioning, soooo bear that in mind when dressing for the theater!
Avenue Q is playing this weekend! Come see it!
Love this place. Supports all kinds of arts.
