This opulent historic landmark presents shows by Broadway in Atlanta & Theater of the Stars, as well as a Summer Movie series. The Atlanta Ballet performs its holiday season fave “The Nutcracker.”
In 1974, Mayor Marynard Jackson (OC resident) refused to sign the paperwork needed to demolish the Fox and on July 10th of that year held the first "Save the Fox" meeting at Herren's restaurant.
The Fox Theatre has been an Atlanta landmark since 1929. Its opulent auditorium is designed to mimic an Arabian courtyard, complete with 96 embedded crystal "stars."
