ahoma as well as showcase some great regional talent.
THE FLOOZIES (LAWRENCE, KS) - The Floozies are producer/guitarist Matt Hill and drummer Mark Hill. These two brothers are bringing their fresh approach to electronic music and live performance to venues and festivals all over the country. The duo's combination of cutting edge electronic production and party rocking funk energizes crowds and turns venues into epic dance parties.
DUMPTRUCK BUTTERLIPS (LAWRENCE, KS) - Dumptruck Butterlips is a Trio hailing from Lawrence, Kansas that blends a number of genres ranging from bluegrass, soul, country, and folk. The blend of music, custom-made outfits, and undeniably impressive hula-hooping skills of Ziggy make them a specifically incredible live band. However; regardless of this attractive display of style, Dumptruck Butterlips still radiates a commendable amount of substance. The band manages to find a niche in their live performances no matter what the crowd, venue, or other artists.
THE NADIS WARRIORS (AUSTIN, TX) - A new movement has been emanating from the musical mecca of Austin, TX. Steeped in the spirituality and sonic psychedelia, The Nadis Warriors transcend the notion of a band, shedding the restrictions of commonplace stage shows for performance experiences unlike any other in the EDM realm or otherwise. Their eclectic mix of musical layers incorporates Tibetan singing bowls, tablas, live guitar and keys to create an electronic excursion through healing and dance. Focused on moving crowds and melding the collective consciousness, each Nadis Warriors performance is an odyssey built around connectivity, instead of pandering production bent on superficial crowd puppetry.
PAUL BENJAMAN BAND (TULSA, OK) - Described often as "The New Tulsa Sound", Paul Benjaman Band builds on the classic sounds of their 70′s rock heroes J.J. cale and Leon Russeell and pushes the boundaries with funky grooves and a guitar-centric live show that often includes many guest musicians.
JON WAYNE AND THE PAIN (MINNEAPOLIS, MN) - Midwest reggae rockers Jon Wayne and The Pain have been carving a sizable niche in the reggae-rock genre. Their sophomore release "Follow Through" builds upon the success of the group's self-titled debut album, once again showcasing their unique mix of reggae, rock, and dub that fans can't get enough of. Jon, Teeto and Chuckie are the ultimate coast-to-coast road warriors having played an average of 20 shows per month for the last 3 years. Their live shows are a powerful display of the trio's "Reggae-Tronic Dub". The band creates a unique psychedelic Reggae sound by blending Reggae-Rock, Roots, Pop, and Ska with evolving bass heavy tangents of electronic dub.
MONTU (NORMAN, OK) - After four years of being together, Oklahoma jamtronica band MONTU has played shows everywhere from New York to California, capturing audiences with their high energy performances and their own unique brand of sound blending influences of instrumental rock, electronica, prog, hip hop and trance.
FESTIVAL HOST "THE MOAI BROADCAST (TULSA, OK) - Forming late in 2008, The Moai Broadcast has steadily grown a grassroots following and has created a sound as unique as its name. Their sound unionizes organic and synthetic instrumentation with soulful lyrics and complete abandonment of any preconceptions of what musical expression is to be. If you were to simply put The Moai Broadcast in an already created box, it's easy to say they combine the energy and attitude of rock bands The Who and Led Zeppelin with the concepts of Pink Floyd and incorporate the new wave sound of The Talking Heads. But that is too easily said. This band has been ahead of the line with creating new avenues to engage their fans and forge ahead in the music scene. Hosting Easter Island Music Festival annually in Tulsa it seems the band is focusing on creating an all out experience for their fans with arts, lights, and music merging together as their focus. Along with hosting Easter Island Festival, The Moai Broadcast has played many festivals including Wakarusa, Yonder Mountain String Bands Harvest Festival, Norman Music Festival, and Free Tulsa to just name a few.
