My friends & I are heading up to Ohio for ALL GOOD FESTIVAL. I was wondering if the VIP area is worth the ticket price? We paid a bunch. Hopefully we will get a bigger bang for the buck, has anyone else done VIP? I know it is a new venue, but what are the additional services? Is there a better viewing area like at other festivals? Do you get to meet the band members?
Thank you & have a peaceful day <3

The answer is yes it has been worth it in the past. Counting on them to provide the same level of VIPness at legend Valley. No, you do not get to meet and greet band members. There isn't a stage front VIP corral like I've seen at other fests. At Marvins the VIP camping area was at the top of the hill with a "sky lounge" and you could see & hear plenty good from there. They say there will be another lounge but not sure about the sight lines from it. Some of the other benefits as I see it are WAY easier access when you first arrive, WAY easier access into the concert grounds thru a VIP entrance, free showers, air conditioned trailer johns, much less wookery, no sketchy yabos wandering into your camp (other than me), shade camping (hopefully) and a nice bunch of folks to camp with. Look for the camp flying my avatar and stop by for refreshments.
Seriously, the ac poopers are worth the upgrade.

I did VIP in 09 it was worth it, I'm 32 the crowd was much older and less wook and more my style less "kids" you can say they were defintely there for the music everyone I met was awesome and everyone looked out for yourself. It was almost to boring but I get enough rage at phish shows. No long walks and nice bathrooms were clutch no huge hills this year so it will be easier to get around. You don't get searched pulling in and I had zero wait pulling into the fest they take care of you. They had golf carts delivering ice as well and I think beers were 1.00 cheaper in the lounge and they had chips and fruit in the morning which was nice.

Bro let me say first off that I would love to do the VIP if I could afford it.
That said, none of which you speak is "free".

Point well taken. No, nothing is free. But I would much rather yhink of it as a free coffee mug than a $500 coffee mug.

Or shit you get with your VIP package. Since when is there a lounge down by the stage? I haven't been since 09 but VIP just had the sky lounge up on the hill.

It was a small shade/lounge off to the left. You had to leave the grounds thru the side entrance opposite of the main entrance heading toward ADA camping.Just a few feet down that alley there was a break in the wall that had the lounge and some media spaces. Didn't use it much.
Getting hard to focus at work!

Wow! I have never been more psyched!!!!! coming up fast!! gee thanks everyone! I went away on a vacay and came back to have most of my questions answered about the 'VIPness' (as mccjeff would say), haha! I'm really looking forward to the Allman Bros., Phil Lesh & Bob Weir, Lotus, Railroad Earth! My friends Katie, Becca & her man Tim, & I plan on heading up Thursday morning. We have the instructions from the web site, and I think we can find our way. We're hoping to not run into any checkpoints, if you know what I mean. Can you bring coolers full of beer? All the amenities as you've mentioned sound primo, and I'm really glad we decided to do VIP this year. We have been to other fests and had to compete with the masses for port o pots, showers, etc and the camping was far away from the venue. I love that no one sketchy will be bothering us, except mccjeff, of course! :D We will look for your avatar flag flying, and stop by your tent to say hello! thanks again, mccjeff, shainajune, salgorf,& KSTS9! ROCK ON HEARTILY!!! YES WE WILL <3
