Hookah in the Hills in Loga, Ohio begins this Friday.

Festival Friendly will be there - if you are in the Midwest you should definitely make the attempt to get to this festival. Kick off the season the right way!

HTML isn't allowed here, I apologize for the crappy link above.

Hope to see you at the Festival - if so; be sure to jump in front of the Lens. We will have plenty of photos next Monday!

I imagine that it will be a great time. I've heard a lot of ekoostik hookah fans are really enthusiastic ;)

I will be getting their a bit later Friday evening. Leaving Indianapolis after work and heading straight there.

I'm friendly!

nice pics, Gary! i decided against going because it was kinda rainy and cold and i will be attending multiple hookah fests throughout this summer anyway, plus i am saving money for Jazzfest right now.

the shows are up on archive and they sound great. i noticed that before setbreak on saturday's show somebody came up and announced that everyone had to move their cars because "something" happened in the parking lot. any insider info on what happened in the parking lot? probably the usual nitrous drama.

also, how was papadosio late night? i've caught them a few times since first seeing them last fall at hookah in the hills, and they kick ass IMO, perfect late night vibe.

i heard melvin sparks cancelled due to health concerns, too bad. that guy is a funk machine. hope he makes a full recovery.

I couldn't find the show on Archive.org - do you have a link for that?

I am actually going to be posting an article tonight / tomorrow describing my experience. My first try at a journalistic-personal-review so bare with me!

And yes, I remember the Hookah set being interrupted perfectly. Not cool!

solid review. too bad you had to miss the shows, though. the sparse attendence is no surprise based on the weather. the first week in april might be a little too early to be having outdoor camping fests in ohio. the likelihood of good weather at that time of year up here is pretty low. the venue sounds pretty cool, though. hopefully the issues with parking are resolved next time around.

here are links for the shows on archive:

saturday: http://www.archive.org/details/eh2008-04-05.dubsbd.16441

check out "green" from friday, and the entire encore from saturday. good stuff.
