My Shows RSS Feed

Hello Jambase,

I love you. Why don't you have an RSS feed for my personal show listing? I thought perhaps I could subscribe to one through the My Widgets but was unable to figure it out. I have a blackberry and would love more than anything to subscribe to my own personal show feed using something like viigo so that everyday I'm greeted with an up to date list of shows in my area that I'm interested in. Please let me know if this is in the works. I imagine I could scrounge something up on my own given your flexibility to have new widgets brought in but if you could work it out for me I'd love you all the more.

Thanks,

Doug

Hi Doug,

We appreciate your suggestions and it's a great one! We are hoping to schedule some additional RSS feeds in future versions, but this is not certain yet. We, too, love RSS!!

We are glad to hear about your love of JamBase and will consider implementing this additional RSS feed that you've requested.

Thanks for supporting JamBase,

Mase

speaking of RSS:

The current JamBase account with Digg has reached it's max limit for the free version you are using. So users aren't able to send anything from JamBase to Digg.

I too have some ideas for the RSS applications but would need more feeds from the site to make it work. For instance I made the following alternative news aggregator using the 40 latest stories from the top 20 alternative news sources:

http://howod.com/news/aggregator.html

There is a link on the right hand side that describes how I made it, if you'd like to hand that off to your webmaster s/he might get some ideas.

Howod,

Thanks for your comments. I'm not aware of any limits on Digg, can you point me to this information? I just shared the Mike Gordan article on Digg without any problems.

We appreciate your suggestions about the RSS aggregation.

well this is the error I get when I click on the JamBase feed and then the DiggThis link on any story from the feed:

The domain "www.jambase.com" has reached the free requests limit for the Digg Counts Feedflare service and therefore has been redirected to this ad page. In order to support the costs of providing this service and to stop this ad page from appearing (scroll to bottom for Digg link) the domain owner or a loyal fan can subscribe "www.jambase.com" by registering it via Paypal:

and the link is here:

then way at the bottom it says:

To continue on to digg.com, please follow this link:

So I guess it's an advertisement redirect that is made to look like an error.
