Lara Johnston is opening for the Doobie Bros. summer tour! She’ll be performing in Nashville at the Ryman on Sunday, August 14. She’s already performed as the opening act for Willie Nelson, KISS, Tower of Power, Heart, Sammy Hagar, Huey Lewis, Pablo Cruise, Journey and Cheap Trick. She also won 3rd place in the prestigious BMI Foundation John Lennon Scholarship Competition.
What makes her so captivating, aside from her beauty, is the powerful voice that comes from within her. She has a range of influences including Pop, Funk, Gospel, Rock, Jazz and Blues. Perhaps her favorite is Soul music.
In celebration of her tour, she is giving away free downloads of a new song called “The Party’s Over” on her website. If you’re lucky enough to be attending the show, Lara will be giving away free LJ bracelets and signing autographs at “THE PARTY” Radio table after her set.
