They don't plan on announcing the shows they're covering each night on this tour, do they? I was looking forward to SOME element of surprise in Denver!

ok a) no of course they do not announce what show they are going to play before they play it, this is a unique re-creation. and b) really this is the only time uve seen something like this? furthur just played like whole albums pre-announced. and c) dso returns to the carolina theatre (site of their 1000th show, original set list) on 2/3 and i am PUMPED!

The antithesis to everything the Grateful Dead stood for. Jerry is rolling over in his grave. I bet he even wretched a bit when Phil and Bobby hired Fake Jerry.

roll away the dew.

DSO is good times, haven't seen them since fake jerry went to further. I assume they're still good. The music is meant to be heard live. Some of the tribute bands like the pink floyd experience are sell out, make money of other peoples music types. I don't feel this way about dso. There are bands that are playing music just to keep it going live. The dead is some of the most important music to keep out there.

This is only the 2nd time DSO has announced in advance which show they will be recreating. The other was in Ithaca in 2007 when they marked the 30th anniversary of the 5/8/77 Barton Hall show (though not at Barton Hall).

Sure to be a good time, hoping to see lots of kind folks there
