For years and years, I had skipped over seeing Galactic at festivals for other bands I wanted to see. That was until I saw them at Bonnaroo this year. Nevermore will I skip over a chance to see them. Absolutely blew me away. The fact they are playing in relatively small venues is amazing.

Seen em about 25 times since 1999 when a hot hippie chick gave me and my boyz a flyer to their free show after Panic at the Fox one of those four New Year's Eve run nights. Can't seem to remember which one. There were about four kegs on each floor of the Days Inn across the street and about hundred on the rooftop :o) See y'all at the Orange Peel!!! Fuck ya!!!

i know it may sound blasphemous because i am from new orleans, but i do not like this band AT ALL...ive seen em about 4 times, and in none of those shows did i feel moved or inspired...i do not see or hear the magic that everyone is mentioning when they speak of galactic...there doesnt seem to be much of a range with them, i.e., they are very limited to what they do and their sound is does not explore the depths of music that other bands do...keep in mind, jambase community, that this is merely my opinion...if you like them, then i encourage you to enjoy their shows and have a good time, but i will NEVER go out of my way to see them, and if im at a festival, they will be passed over more times than not

Gurgi- Your statement says that Galactic's sound is bland. Your opinion is pretty bland. I don't know how anyone could say their music doesn't move them. It is funkafied, rythmic, danceable, good time music. I understand everyone has there opinion, but it sounds like there is an alternative reason for you not liking them, other than music. Plus with the stellar Orgone opening up for them, this tour should not be missed by anyone with a taste for killer funk. Period.
