RATM is one of my all time favorites. saw them last time they played a few years ago. they still have it to say the least although unfortunatly they were playing basically the same set multiple nights and ive seen them deviate from that. crunk though about this show, crunk.

Wouldn't it make more sense if they actually played this show in Arizona? Or is playing in LA a way for RATM to benefit as well? It really sux living in this state (I live in AZ) after all shit went down. The music scene here went quickly from bad to worse.

I find it kind of ridiculous that bands are boycotting AZ, especially since they just announced today that 9 other states are backing us with the new bill, so when other states start jumping on board, will these bands start boycotting them, it's a dumb move on their part and won't solve anything...AZ doesn't get too many concerts to begin with, so to have bands whom never come here to say they boycott us really doesn't make any sense, except them making a statement. Do you really think our local gov officials give a shit about a few bands, it's only nickels and dimes to them and will find other means of making money. The only bands that really seem to come here are Gogol Bordello and My Morning Jacket, but when the fuck was the last time Rage played here? Probably not since the 90s...

Everyone should sneak into this show without paying.

bigchris> Oberst has a political message just as strong as RATM. It may be that the use of metaphor goes a bit over your head. This show will be epic!

Saw Rage at Vegoose a few years back and they were nowhere as fierce as whn I saw them play in TJ, when the first album came out. Its like Janes Addiction, yeah the songs are still cool, its still nice seeing them live, but nowhere near as good as back in the early 90s bitches!

If these has-beens want to affect change they should play the show in Phoenix.

Someone in the Bill Kreutzmann camp posted this link on his facebook page. The article is the best argument for artists to now play Arizona more than ever: http://blogs.phoenixnewtimes.com/uponsun/2010/06/charlie_levy_of_promoter_state.php

As for RATM...they are no more relevant than the 1990's anyway. They are receiving their 30 seconds of fame and will disappear for another ten years.
