I wish i had gone when they still invited psychedeli music. It seems that this should be called the new orleans Cruise or funk Cruise. Aside from Lotus, Ohmphrey and a grateful dead cover band. I do like all the other music, but I would like more of a focus on rock and roll

Zappa plays Zappa - THE quintessential New Orleans funk band! What about the Word? Mofro? Kimock / Crazy Engine? Hot Buttered Rum? The Mother's Hips? STS9? Railroad Earth? Pretty Lights? Toubab?

I mean, as a funk fan I am glad there is a big contingency of Nola cats that are on board every year, but have you even looked at the schedule? It's not like you wouldn't be able to catch 15 hours of live music a day without listening to any funk at all if you wanted to.
