saturday was fun. got to catch wolfmother, jane's and kiss. he nailed the kiss show to the t. it was fun and cool to see the fireworks and flashy things but the music was really secondary. overall a good halloween, especially with a little bourbon street afterward.

I gotta give props to WidespreadMule3 for reppin' Moon Taxi in his profile pic, love that. They're playing in NOLA on Sunday night at HoB.

"Fixin' to Die" is a Booker T Washington White song made popular by Bobby Dylan.

Ween doesn't play "Roses" for phish fans, ever! nice try

Kiss is from NY, not Detroit.

Looks like a fun weekend in the swamp, maybe next year

Good review. But the best show of the weekend wasn't even mentioned. The Meat Puppets on Sunday evening threw down like none other.

Thanks to the fine folks of New Orleans for their warm hearts, amazing music, and mud. Fun, crazy weekend at Voo Doo. Fri highlights: Papa Grows Funk, Alejandro Escovedo, Lil' Brian & Zydeco Travelers, Black Keys (amazing in the rain); Sat: Gogol Bordello (best of the day), Drive-By Truckers; Sunday (too many great sets overlapping): Widespread (!!), Trombone Shorty, Kravitz (solid). Great diversity at this fest.
