i really like that there is nothing from the i am sam or across the universe soundtracks here. not knocking either of the movies or soundtracks, both are great and personal favorites of mine, but it would have been quite cliche. The al green and yes tracks are the shit.

How bout some Elliott Smith? Oh wait, his melodies blow the shit out of The Beatles.

Nice selection! Please keep it coming. How often is it that you hear interpretations of pieces that are imbedded in your mind that are the epitome of perfection and you say 'I have to have that!' Nice work-please keep it going. And as far as I am concerned, a sound interpretation is justified no matter what group/compilation it stems from. Congratulations! I'd Like to thank you on behalf of the JamBase; You passed the audition!!!

Next Up: An exposition of theBritish foursome bastard step-children of The Beatles and their musical evolution. The Clash-The Only Band That Matters.

Blue Jay Way was fantastic! The Al Green cover was nice, Todd Rundgren was good, and The Crowes.

With that, some of those were just plain awful.

I would have put some Fred on there. they have few sweet versions of 'Happiness,' but their newer version of 'Julia' is fantastic with the slide
