"In the City" was Joe Walsh solo before the Eagles covered it. He got together with Barry De Vorzon and wrote it for Walter Hill's "The Warriors."

I wish I was old enough to have seen the Hotel California and Long Run tours. They were the shit back then with the great Joe Walsh in his prime. Now they're just kind of old and overpriced. More great JW songs:All Night Long (with or w/o Eagles), Life Of Illusion, and my favorite ILBTs-if you haven't heard it you need to. On The Border is an underrated Eagles album.
