damn those look like amazing shows, especially that 3rd night, DAMN, i wish i had the cash to pre-order this so i could get the bonus disc from chicago (my hometown.... cutler better pick it up) hopefully ill be able to get this a little (lot) cheaper than face value, i have supported the dead enough with 100 dollar floor seats at allstate x2 this year.. and rothbury (best festival ever, but that Symbiosis gathering in cali looks amazing...) wish i wasnt sitting at work, and could just go to festivals and shows all year long... fml, anyway if some1 can help me out with that chicago disc shoot me a pm, sorry for the rant but work is dragging ass today...

The third night 6-9-77 is unblevievable. I've had a tape of it for a while now and it has been one of my all time favorites. I'm sure this new reelease will blow the sound quality of my tape out of the water and those other shows are sure to be fire as well! Keep on releasing these great box sets boys!

I was lucky enough to be at all three of these shows. As much as I can recall, I seem to remember them being pretty good. Going to all the San Francisco shows back then was a little rough on the ol' grey matter. My eyes still twinkle every now and again for no apparent reason. I kind of like it though.......

1977 shows are gold. 1973 and 1985 (breakouts and weird setlists) are up there too but IMHO 77 is the holy grail. Nice artwork with the disco ball SYF. There goes another $100.

Dire,
You just ruined it much further. Didn't know about it, but I do now! Seriously though,
$100 bucks? That is blasphamy. Why do these guys charge so much for everything. Go to Wolfgangs Vault and get tons of free shows from Bill Grahams collection.

wow "mikemac" i don't think i ruined anything. if you read what i posted i said i was "not trying to be a dick" and "the DL is the way to go." too bad it's invite only because the people that "didn't know about it but do now!" are the type of people that don't seed and give back what you take. it's about sharing meaning people will pay $100 for the collection, and why shouldn't they if they love the music?
