Very nice interview. Bill Frisell is an amazing musician and a very kind man. I probably own about twenty or so of his albums and they are all amazing. Check him out if you have the chance! And if anyone needs a recommendation, shoot me a line.

SO COOL to see an interview with Mr. Frisell on this here website! Wonderful questions, and wonderful responses. Does this mean that Bill is going to be trying to appeal to more jam-fans? I've long dreamed of an unannounced guest spot during a Ghost or Tweezer jam... Still, cool to hear that he used to eschew country music, but now thinks it's cool - I'm the same way, but pretty much my favorite twangs come from none other than the mind-o-Frisell itself. Anyway - pure awesome, huzzah Frisell!

It's a real treat to read his answers to good questions asked by someone who is familier with so much of his work. He remains my favorite musician and I'm glad that he is featured on this site. I love the kind way that he explains not doing Naked City anymore. He is so understanding of people's attraction to things he's played before but yet he plugs away at what inspires him today. Can't wait to see him again. Thank you very much for the article.

What a superb piece! Dennis, you must just pinch yourself sometimes when you get to have a conversation w/ some of your heroes like Frisell. if there is anyone that one can call a living legend in modern music, Bill Frisell is it. go hear Frisell live if you get the chance or listen to him on Rhapsody, youtube etc and / or buy his records. I had the privilege of seeing him a few years back in a duo w/ Leisz at the intimate Palms in Winters CA. it was one of the most memorable evenings of music i've ever heard and seen. I've seen Frisell a number of times but for some reason that night sticks out. Check out Disfarmer, a very interesting record, it opens itself to the listener more on each listening. I can't wait to check out these DVDs. thanks Dennis and thanx Bill Frisell for all of the amazing sounds!!! Frisell is truly a one-of-a-kind artist and musician.

Great article. I caught a show from the Disfarmer tour and was really impressed, the music was literally telling the stories of the pictures.
