Seriously, what kind of review only reviews half of the festival. Kinda weak in my opinion.

Wow. Not sure if it was the moonshine flavored with peaches and strawberries or something else going around, but there's a heck of a lot even in those two days left out. Cornmeal late night at the downhome stage was the best show I caught of the festival with a feverishly fast fusion of exploratative jamgrass and sweet crystal clear soul cleansing bluegrass not to mention second set covers ranging from disco to the Doors. First set guests including Bonnie Paine and one of the other talended lasses from Cindy Woolf's Band providing a blistering shot of what fine tuned estrogen can do for some earcandy. No Ozark Mountain Daredevils, No Allie sitting in with Blue Turtle Seduction, no Mountain Sprout, no Greensky Bluegrass, No Hot Buttered Rum w/ Peter Rowan but that's easy to gloss over. Really was a tremendously fun festival and I'm blessed to have been a part of it.

Agreed Fratagonia. The ladies jam during Cornmeals set was insane and a highlight of the weekend.I will have an article up to go with those picture links above on that site where I talk about the amazing amount of women making beautiful music at this fest. As a person of weirdly varied taste, it was nice to go to a fest where there was a balance between the sexes, as everyone's voices were heard. As a photographer, it was nice to not be shooting band after band of dudes in jeans, and as a guy...wowsa!

Enough with all the Big Light Jambase and lets get with the Blue Turtle Seduction train......I LOVE BOTH OF THESE BANDS but the hype sourrounding Big Light is just out of control, while BTS which IMO is even MORE original, getting left out. Lets give BOTH of these bands love and not just the one because of the bay area community they are in in CA. Both bands are deserving of the spotlight.

BTS haas raged this fest the past few years yet no mention of their trememdous efforts, especially coming from Tahoe and doing things THEIR WAY. Sinatra would be proud.
