No mention of Billy Bragg? Ouch. Big ups to NPR for broadcasting some of this live

Wow, this is a dull review. I'm sure it was great, but it really didn't read like it.

folk fests are the best place to go to catch up on sleep

with one reviewer and 3 stages of simultaneous music its hard to get to every single act, let alone review them all.

Is it just me or does Brett Dennen look like a ginger lesbian?

Anyway, went to the Newport Folk Fest a couple years ago and it was awesome. Most beautiful location I've ever seen a show. The people were great too, a good mix younger music fans and rich older Newport folks who are far more open-minded than one may think. It's definitely not high on the energy scale, but its a great summer weekend done the right way.

Re: with one reviewer and 3 stages of simultaneous music its hard to get to every single act, let alone review them all.

Not only is it not difficult to cover much more than that (Bonnaroo coverage of 2008 springs to mind), but that's what the job is! Don't take on the job if you can't handle it. This is irrelevant though, and it's still a poor article.
