well it's clearly obvious you missed the only good after party on saturday night since you didn't even make mention of pretty lights or shpongle, only the ever-so-generic umphrey's mcgay... and considering they played twice you probably should have thought that one through when reviewing the best festival of the summer.

WOW! I just finished reading all this non-sense about Cheese - their music, fans, hiatus and didn't once see any appreciation or gratitude for them coming back. I didn't get into Cheese until 2004 and didn't see them until Halloween 2005 - Vegas - Thriller - EPIC! but since then, I've seen them over 20 times and am always happy with the sets they pull out. Anyway, I would consider myself to be a huge fan of all of their music - bluegrass, funk, electronic, whatever. I love Cheese. period. So, just because they didn't bless us with a 100 year flood or Good Times Round the Bend or Under African Skies (thanks Paul Simon)or any of the other songs from their enormous repertoire', doesn't mean that I was unhappy with the show. the show was f*cking unbelievable; the guys were on point, the jams were great, the Beat It and Thriller teases were awesome. So what if they played the songs that people know and love - its a festival! The Dead did the same thing. they only got one chance; not like Horning's where they get 3 days to play whatever they want.

By the way, for those at the show, what happened during Little Hands? There was some weird electronic break-in and we all looked around at each other scratching our heads. No way it was an accident. anyone?

Big deal if you called some of the songs from the show...so did i. Called Outside & Inside as soon as they started getting ready to jam - hell, i called Best Feeling before the KW show - if he doesn't play it for his set, he'll come out for the encore with Cheese. Big Freakin Deal!

Highlight of the festival for me wasn't actually the show, it was meeting Billy the night before at the Break Science show at Tripolee Tent. Got a chance to tell him how grateful i am for their music and the impact its had on my life and for the decision to get back together. More importantly, to see Billy enjoying some electronic music made me think that the band has come to a better place for all of them.

Corey - man, i hope you're right and we get a Winter Carnival. i heard from some folks in the 'know' that 2010 will be a year of touring for the band, so we can all get our cheeseheads melted again and release some of the pent up frustration that the best band out there is back with force.

ROTHBURY was amazing! Thanks to Madison House, AEG Live and all those involved. Hope next year is just as good, except with a bit more respect from the fans for the mission of sustainability. 1st year there was hardly any trash anywhere, but this year, not so much.

~MAD LOVE~
