Tribe is shiz, no doubt about it. Obviously not everyone's favorite music, but that's just how music is. Some people like one band, and other people dont. I'll never understand why this website is always full of people hating on one band when they don't like them. It's even worse when someone else really cares about those comments and makes some other stupid comment back about a different band.
As for STS9. I would agree that as of late, they have not been performing up to speed. I keep wondering if they started using drugs or something and have started falling off, because the last 7 shows I saw were absolutely nothing compared to a few of the shows I saw in 2007. They really have been only playing one set shows, and if it is a 2 set show, its 2 SHORT sets. I don't know why they have decided to be so lazy, maybe theyre full of themselves now that they have attained a pretty high level of popularity?
I honestly thought both Wakarusa sets were pretty lackluster as far as length of show goes. Musically, they played a few of my favs, and I had never seen Breathe In live before, so that was a treat. But they had a 2 hour late night slot and they only played for an hour and 45 minutes. Now that is weaksauce, probably the weakest sauce ever. If they want to continue gathering loyal fans and impressing more and more people, they need to stop pussy footin around and start playing longer shows. That's what they made their name on and for them to stop doing it truly makes them look bad to a lot of people, including myself.
They also really need to start varying their setlists from show to show a little more. Like I was saying, I have seen them 7 times in the past 6 months, and honestly, all 7 sets were nearly identical. Where's the old school stuff? Start Funkin it HARD again Sound Tribe, so I can be proud to love you once again!
