36 years and counting, Telluride remains one of the most friendly, amazing festivals...

Amazing. This place is surreal. The mountain landscape creates an energy here for the musicians and listeners that I've never experienced anywhere else. Thanks for the pics and article to bring me back... until next year!

The photos are amazing. Wow. Kids and bubbles and all the REAL GREAT PEOPLE that probably make this what it is! (I have never been) I love the non scenester vibe to the photos....and love that little High Sierra shirt nod :) and MORE bubbles! Damn, never knew Todd Snider was such a hottie. I have a new crush. Gee I bet his musics good, too ;)

Sam Bush was wearing a Nashville Predators jersey, Vernon Fiddler, not a Sabres jersey...

In all my years and 1000's of concerts I have never been to such an all around positive music experience. Set in the valley floor of Telluride, surrounded by 14,000 foot peaks and dancing aspen trees, numerous waterfalls and an A-TEAM of festivarians, this is unmatched in my book. You can have your 70,000 on a field in Tennessee, or your 3-5,000 in a fairground surrounded by a timber company in California, I will take the wilderness that surrounds the Telluride Bluegrass Festival any day or year.

No mention of the band competition winners! THE HILLBENDERS from Springfield, MO won this year's contest and have a VERY bright future ahead of them. www.hillbenders.com catch em' in a small place for $5 while you can!

Cornmeal not getting mainstage is a crime! Otherwise, wow what a great looking festival. May definitely have to look into this for next year.
