OR... do like they did in that Seinfeld episode and collect as many cans and bottles as possible, and then do the math, take out the gas to get their, and u could make a huge profit by..... DRIVE TO MI.... i know MI totally sucks balls (i used to live there, so I can say that) but they give 10 cents for everything. It's genious!!! Straight out of the mind of a personal hero of mine, Kosmo Kramer.

PHISH HISTORY QUESTION:

When they played the shows on halloween in which they played those full length albums, did they previously play any of that material? In other words, when they played the White Album, did they previously play any of those songs prior to that night, or any thing off of Loaded prior to playing that?

Know what I'm saying? I'm usually good with Phish history, but that I'm not sure of. I'm just thinking of cool ideas of stuff they may play on Halloween. And I don't know if I can base these thoughts of songs that are already on their list. I know it will be awesome and surprising either way, but its worth a thought.

Hey there gotti3, RC representing. Meet you at Lucille's for ribs & Newcastle on tap. WE WILL HOOK UP!!! My brother and friends will be rollin' in from Texas. It's funny, when this Phish rumor mill started in the spring, I thought I would be going to Texas for that 09/09 Google Earth bullshit. Now I win the Phish lottery and only have to drive twenty miles. You can't tell me GOD doesn't have a sense of humur, I drove 70 hours round trip for Bonnaroo. Anyway gotti3, I hope some of your east coast phriends can make it.

And Chux, with it being Phish on Halloween, this phesty could be held anywhere and I think it would sell out. I just hope Phans get the tickets and the scalpers don"t get rich, but you know how that goes. Anyway Chux, hope you get out here.

for some people, money is not the only problem. I'm a college student, and I would have to miss at least four days of school just to get there and get back, nevermind how damn tired I may be afterwards. I'm a math major, and four days out means certain failure. Not that announcing the location earlier would have changed that... just wanted to throw out different reasons why people may be upset...

emjrh- you got a point with the sell out factor however i will make it out there i almost assure you of that it would take a rare set of circumstances to prevent such an occurrence im definitely trying to get up when i get there!!

Festival8.... kind of a lame name, they should have kept Save the Date, I was getting used to that.

I'm gonna miss this forum...

If you google "Festival 8" the first thing that comes up is a fest in Florida under the same name and same date.... thats kinda weird, kinda funny

hey hotchkiss...niiiice!! and i TOTALLY agree with ya about putting all your past efforts into gettin' a good bag and a good bottle into show plans!!!! i was the SAME way, only it wasn't smoke or drink....mostly those damn pills. realized that ALL my money (beside what i had to pay for rent, elec, phone...you know...those pesky bills that get in our way every month!! LOL)was goin' on those damn things and then EVERY time, well, almost every time, when shows came around i was SCRAMBLIN' to get money for tour. i don't have a lot hustle so i can't do that to make it to the next show...so all my "shit" gets paid for in advance. luckily enough i have a great paying job with THE COOLEST boss these days, so i can pretty much make money to just jump up and go on a whim and not fear losing my job cuz i take off for a couple-a weeks or so. however, HOWEVER....i sorta agree with you...how much longer than 3 months does it take to save and plan?? obviously, that's not such great planning if it takes longer than that and obviously that's not saving what one may spend on gettin' high or whatever else one likes to do and putting that money instead toward the phestie at hand!!!

anyway....more power to ya with your collecting!!! right on!!! any way it comes, TAKE IT!!! i know i'm working on this trip right now, every day!!~! SO EXCITED!!! never been to cali before~!

c y'all out there~~~until then...WOOOOOOOOO HOOOOOOO~~~~~!!!!!!!!!!

To all the heads out there in cyberland:

So my friends and my plans for the upcoming Phish camping festival over Halloween weekend in Indio, CA have changed. We were initially renting an RV, but due to some cancellations and shifting of plans, not every member of the crew was able to commit to the plans, and as such, we can't afford the RV. We are now instead renting a minivan. SO...

There were only a limited number of RV passes made available, and they've been sold out for weeks/months now, so if you are planning to bring, or would like to bring, an RV / recreational vehicle / camper / camping van to Festival 8 but don't have the appropriate ticket / pass, I'm your man!

My tickets arrived in the mail last week (as everyone's did, I imagine), and I can either mail the ticket to you via insured / certified mail, meet you in New York, meet you in the Santa Ana airport on the afternoon of 10/29, or meet you on the car check security line to get into the festival. I accept cash or PayPal. $150 (or best offer) includes shipping and postal insurance.

Hit me up!

Jake
