Good to see the Hip getting some love, one of the most energetic, engaging live acts around. Viva LA Hip!!!

Guess the writer doesn't get up to Canada much? The Hip are like "The Grateful Dead of Canada"...along with Blue Rodeo. Both are awesome, but The Hip love to jam!

I was truely blessed to be in the right place, at the right time, to grow up seeing the Hip and Phish in the most intamate venues back in the early 90's. The Tragically could really bring it everytime. Up to Here and Fully Completely are still my favorite recordings of all time. i dont get to see them much but i am really looking forward to the show in Denver this fall. GET RYE COODER TO SING my EULOGY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

As a South Carolina boy who got turned on to The Hip way back (right around the time Fully Completely came out), I'm absolutely floored that a band that can sell out arenas across the border gets no respect down here in the States. Well, not even no respect - no notice.
That second set looks like a scorcher. Glad to see this review posted!

I live in VA and traveled to NYC back in May to see them at the Nokia Theatre, was an awesome show. First became aware of these guys after seeing them at Sasquatch 06 (The Gorge, WA) and have seen them four times since. They really know how to put on a show and with a band thats been playing together for 20 years I think its remarkable that they are still winning over fans with their new and old material. Some of my favorite songs are Grace Too, Fully Completely, New Orleans is Sinking. Their website http://thehip.com has all their music free to stream!

I had no idea they were so huge in canada. They def put on a great live show though. Worth checking out for sure.
The only place i really here them is a few alternative radio stations. I guess they really don't get much love in the states

WOW , FINALLY !! the hip has been "my band" since i first saw them in my hometown on their first us tour for their 1st or second album... got to meet them backstage that night and the rest has been history.... probably one of the best live bands i have ever seen and def miles above 99% of other bands for their songwriting skills....last tour i saw them in lancaster pa , 2 philly shows and a show in atlantic city - they played house of blues i think it was and the place was barren! worked out good for me though , got front row and left w/ a drum stick and a broken mic stand !
i could go on forever about these guys and the great shows i have seen over the past 15+ years.....
as mentioned above - check live between us - a killer live album , also you can download their shows these days from their website....
for fun seek out the ultra rare "killer shark version" i think was done in the middle of new orleans is sinking - they used to break into jam/stories during that song....
FUCK YEAH!
