and where the hell is a picture of the encore? It's the last show of the leg + keytar, 5 neck?!?, and the inferno bass and a no picture to be found. What gives, does this photographer just snap a few for posterity and then go blaze? We got no photos of the hijinks in Asheville either...

^^ Agreed. Trey plays a 5-neck guitar and no pics? Not to be ungrateful because I've enjoyed seeing old friends in some of the pics from this tour but we're talking about guitar here with 5 necks. I mean come on, it's a 5 neck guitar. Did I just get punk'd?

^ The general rule for almost all big shows is that photographers are allowed to shoot the first 3 songs only. Not sure if that holds true for Vann as i see his work on other sites and on Phish's official stuff too - so maybe he gets more time, but from the looks of the shots (you can see the sunlight in all of them) i'm guessing first 3 songs only.

I had a ticket for Saturday and unfortunately had to trade it for this one. Hate to say it but this show was just kind of meh for me. Killer Cross Eyed and Painless and DWD. Slave was solid. Not near what I saw at Bonnaroo one week prior. Nonetheless it's good these guys are back and overall sound as good as they have in at least 10 years.

^ There's been pictures from a few encores on this tour. Also, the police at Alpine have to be the worst in the country. Saw tons of arrests, but the worst was when I saw 2 sheriffs on ATVs speed over to a dude taking a leak in the forest and tackled him... They completely killed the lot vibe...

Not sure what everyone else's situation was. For me personally, broke down on the way into venue and was helped by (3) of the nicest sheriffs ever. Helped me for like 45 minutes. Finally fixed problem and was in the show in no time. Hats off to you fellas. You made my day!

I think Great Woods wins worst security of the first leg. They allowed absolutely no vending in the lot so Shakedown was nonexistant and you had to run a covert operation just to have a beer, regardless of age.

Anyway, Avenu Malkenu is a beautiful tune, not sure why they rarely ever break it out. Another one I'm surprised they didn't break out the entire first leg was Roggae, one of the best spacey jams they play.

Lastly, the hoop girl in the first picture is a cutie. Hope she contributed to the "chicks in the front row."
