I'm sorry but struggling and up-and-coming artists do not benefit from RIAA labels...maybe once in a blue moon...not enough to give a shit about how people file sharing affects RIAA labels. Illegal file sharing hurts record label execs and the millionaire pop artists they sign...big deal.

I just downloaded a grip of songs this afternoon.

I burn cds of artists I'm interested in. If I like it I either buy the cd or see them live. Either way they are getting a fan that is going to support them and help them sustain a career.
