No mention of Little Feat's show. You should be ashamed of yourself.

Someone should research this writer, seems to clearly be undercover from Live Nation: "ample and line-free vendors and bathrooms" - there have never been fewer bathrooms at SoS and someone with the park told me Live Nation drastically reduced their servicing of porta-potties. Agree he really missed out covering the Feat and UM sets, which were both killer.
And to folks who think these pics are beautiful, you're going to be blown away when you actually see the park, river, people etc. It is truly the best festy venue in the country IMHO.

Man those pics nailed it, been to SOSMP like 15 times, mud and bug city this year, but still well worth every cent, the Suwanee rocks, no better fest venue. period
I had no hassles at all, it's usually that way.

Been to wanee the last three years, it was my first florida festival. I love the camp grounds and can not wait for Bear Creek but I couldn't handle going to wanee again this year. The lineup is stagnet (aside from adding Umphreys) and now that livenation is running it I can't imagine what security was like, I know it's been outragous in the past. Any festival at swannee is magical, it's because the place and the family that live out there kick ass, I trully believe that organizations like Live Nation and in part festivals going the way wanee has in the past few years is going to wreck this beautiful place. See you at bear creek.

Hey Santa, I'm not a big fan of livenation either but considering the lineup the overall price was quite reasonable. If you think two nights of ABB along with Govt. Mule and Derek Trucks Band every year, in addition to several great bands rotating, is stagnant, then this is obviously not the fest for you. That's like saying MagFest is stagnant because they always have Peter Rowan, Donna The Buffalo, and The Duhks. If it ain't broke don't fix it. After 2008 and considering the age of Gregg, Jaimoe, and Butch I'm happy to see the Allmans as much as I can before its over. Security was actually less annoying than past years. Our spot was close enough to listen to the main stage and we never saw security or police at all there the whole weekend. Bear Creek does sound pretty cool though.

Hey stoweskier, I wish I could move Phish's Red Rocks run to the Ford Amphitheater in Tampa, but that aint gonna happen. A fest that's not at SOSMP is not the same, period. There is a whole big world out there, come on down for Bear Creek and see, it is going to be nutz.
Missed Wanee this year for the first time in 4 years due to a family wedding...heard from my usual crew it was as crowded as ever, and despite the on and off weather, was the most fun yet.

"Cringe Inducing"--- That is the perfect phrase to describe most of the people who have been playing Jerry tunes over the past 14 years...The only ones who I think really do it justice are Jeff Mattson, Stu Allen, and John Kadlecik.....Warren is the definition of "Cringe Inducing" when it comes to playing Jerry Tunes.
