Get Out Of My Life Woman is an Allen Toussaint song, not Solomon Burke. King Solomon COVERED it.

So sad that I missed Wanee this year(been to the last 3), It is the best festy for your buck, hands down. I don't like that LiveNation has taken over, but I'm happy someone did. Decent review, could have used a little more detail, but awesome pics! Looked like a lot more people than last year. I definitely won't let this one slip by next year.

Gotta give some love to the girl boots (galoshes).... it's by far the new hottest festival trend... cute skirt or sun dress and the galoshes, took my breath away multiple times throughout the weekend. Occasionally the knee high socks peeking out from behind the mud proof vinyl. It kind of came out of nowhere... thank you ladies... functional and sexy!

Best festival ever! The writer apparently skipped some great sets from Little Feat and Umphrey's McGee. My only complaint about Wanee is I can't be at both stages at the same time as the lineup is all gold and no fluff. I did like the April slot better though as Florida in June is a lot buggier. My personal highlight of the weekend was the beautiful ladies dancing in the mud during Umphrey's and Buddy Guy Fri. afternoon. I've seen Umphrey's several times and this was the best yet. Fool In The Rain felt perfect. Susan Tedeschi's band w/Ron Holloway on sax sounded great in the pouring rain Sat. also.Archive.org has a lot of these sets-check it out.
