Wow, not many NIN fans on Jambase or what? Freaks and pillheads? Very ignorant comment. I know nothing about the Morello band, so no comment on that. I love Jane's, but I've never seen them live. Reznor is a musical genius and NIN live is phenominal. I wonder if they can change the headliners around, because it would be so much better to see NIN last. "Pretty Hate Machine" "Downward Spiral" "The Fragile" and "Year Zero" and "The Slip" are masterpieces. Haters better recognize.

I went to see the last date of this tour friday in Charlotte and it was a bittersweet time capsule. I love NIN and Jane's Addiction and was beyond excited to see both together as I believe these two bands are as relevant now as they ever were-age has no bearing on the power and intensity they produce. Maybe I am sensitive to any criticism of age as I am 43 but feel and think in many ways as a 23 year old. Friday night was perfect-my buddy won a VIP package from work and couldn't go so he gave me his tickets-had a friggin private box seat with waitress service bringing me overpriced beers to my hearts content as both nin/JA just killed it. I didn't feel sad to know this night would never happen again as much as it was a celebration of good times, great friends and over the top entertainment. I was glad to see many seasoned rockers in the house and newer generation of freaks, sexy rocker chix and jaded scensters. Like any craftsman who stays in the same business for 20+ years-you just get better at your craft over time. What is so great about these bands as they are true pros who bring it every night but still play like they are in their 20's-you can't fake the kind of passion evident friday night-nor can you rock any harder. This show was the highlight of the year for me

Yeah, what the hell is with all the NIN hate? I'm sorry, but NIN is THE SHIT! And this tour is fucking AMAZING! I saw them twice, first in PHX then the next day in Chula Vista and both shows were the greatest shows of my life. The setlists are too good to be true playing a lot of rare material like "Metal," "I'm Afraid of Americans," and "Down In It" god I could go on and on. The shows I saw were so ridiculously awesome and I couldn't stop dancing. Janes was not that great, I know there is a lot die-hard fans of Janes, but to go on after the stellar sets of NIN is just impossible. But I understand why Trent paid his respects. I couldn't believe all the people that just stood around for NIN, especially in CA, I would think they'd be into the music more than Arizonians, I guess not. It was all about Janes for everybody, which setlists have been all the same. I'm glad Trent is switching it up a bit and his band's sound is on par. I still haven't stopped listening to the bootlegs for the shows I attended and I can't believe I was able to hear some of these awesome older tunes that haven't been played in years. So stop hating on NIN til you see it for yourself. It sucks that this will be the end of NIN for a few years, but I know Trent won't stop working, the man is a force and will probably be doing some new and interesting things throughout the next few years...I can't wait!

"NIN is for freaks and pill heads"

Are you sure you aren't talking about phish phans?

I caught this great show at Shoreline last month, it killed! NIN was really on, especially Robin Finke on the axe, that guy is so talented. Great high energy set.

Jane's really took the show, though, they were simply amazing, so trippy and powerful at the same time. Too bad this reviewer caught them on a off night, this is the tour of the summer! Don't miss this, Jane's rules!

I thought the review was excellent. I felt like i was there the review was that good. When the tour came to Phoenix my friends had the same complaints they couldn't believe NIN was opening up for Janes Addiction. That was the biggest disappointment of the show. Although i do think Perry's intentions are good and notable he just annoys the fuck out of me when he is on stage. Just stay behind the scenes especially at Lollapalooza. Perry i think you will make more of a difference behind the scenes instead of being on that stage. Give the new generational bands the spotlight. That Perry's dance tent at Lollapalooza should be pretty sick though.

NIN is one of the best touring bands in the world right now.....Freaks and pill heads? Trent Reznor is an innovator who pushes the limits of what a live show should be....sad to see some cant wrap their heads around it but to each their own.....saw them last November and it was the highlight concert of the year for me....janes addiction had a tough spot to fill coming after a band with as much energy as NIN....they literally put their all into shows each and every night....
