It's incredible that I logged onto this website today to check out comments about the Knoxville gig and majority of the comments sound like girls bickering about nonsense.

Anyways, I am just happy Phish is back. Chris Kuroda in his interview on this site said it best. Everyone needed a break the whole scene did. I have to admit I was excited when they announced getting back together, but was hesitant. Wasn't sure how it would unphold, but I've listened to about every show on the tour so far and I'm really digging it. Over the years I migrated pretty far away from Phish, but these past few weeks I've delve back in and have really been enjoying it. It's brought back a part of my youth I lost contact with. Especially waiting for the STL Fox show, I feel like a kid waiting for Christmas. Wish I could be at the Bonnaroo gig tonight, best of times to everyone there.

What's wrong with The Butthole Surfers and Paul Simon? BTW- Fag is just not a cool word to use.

Phish brought me back to the mid-nineties for most of the show. I never expected to get my face melted by one of the best Bowie's I've ever seen. They blew my mind in Knoxville more than they have since '98. My only complaint has to do with the crowd. Three times people valiantly tried to start a glow-stick war and three times Koruda lowered the lights so as to accomodate what could've been epic glow-stick tomfoolery. Nobody threw them back. I don't think the new phans had any idea what they were supposed to do. This might be a lame thing to bitch about but I f-in' love glowstick wars. You young folks need to learn a little about Phish tradition because its a very very phun part of the show experience. Next time you get hit in the head with a glowstick during Harry Hood or Bowie or I am Hydrogen, THROW IT!!!! It's too bad Dave Matthew's doesn't have glow stick wars or ya'll might've known about it. Respect your elders next time and throw glowsticks at them.

clbmando....right on! GlowSticks shall be tossed...if not then go home. A freakin glow stick is not a souvenir. If you would like a keep sake hows about getting dosed..you should remember everything after that for sometime.

I loved foam, bowie, reba, waves, weekapaug, cavern, frank.

sounded like old times only better. bash all you want you freaks, I was there, and hearing the old school stuff played at the highest level I ever heard was RIDICULOUS.

^ well said miles! I couldn't agree more. It must be hard for people who wern't at this show to understand the level of band/crowd interaction and energy exchanged. Not only that, but they absolutely nailed everything in a way that i thought was lost forever for this band. The new phish is very exciting and the possibilites seem endless for this new era. Seriously, they came to play in knoxville. The sound was the best i have ever heard at a show possibly ever...it was spot on and dialed in. It was good to see them bring back of my favorie songs "Waves" with a beyond solid version with a great ambient vocal jam at the end. This show brought the heavy hitters and it wasn't the just go through the motions phish of 2004. Not even close, they played like they were on a mission to reclaim the thrown as the most bad ass band on the planet. Seriously folks, i ain't shitting you, this show was OUTSTANDING!

Knoxville show was absolutely beautiful. I was waiting for the glowstick war too, but oh well. I guess that dude that always brings the big box of them and just tosses them all up straight out of the box didn't make the show. I felt like the band was having a blast and just fucking with us in the crowd. At points, me and my buddy were just doubled over laughing. Kick ass show.
