looks like i struck a nerve with a sensitive type

"you strike me as not-that-bright." > "Sure Flying Lotus is doper, maybe even doper."

^^^please reread that a few times then tell me why you're in a position to question the intelligence of others...

"What would you do without a computer?"

^^^please reread that a few times and then apply the same question to your boy dvc.

If you don't like DJs, why are you commenting on this article?

too much hype. just saw them at bonnaroo and there were no live drums, just a drummer who appeared to be pretending to play the same generic hip-hop beat over and over. i am a sucker for slick beats, especially when in certain states of mind, but this act is CHEESE.

"More Important Than Jordan" has to be one of the most embarrassingly delusional names ever thought up.

The name of the song is an Aceyalone lyric that he samples in the song. I get the feeling most people that are on here talking shit about PL don't really know shit about them.

Whats with all the hate. Everybody just loves to be sooo negative. Take your bad vibes somewhere else. Nobody's forcing you to listen.

All these people keep saying he's ripping off all these beats and stuff. Yes he's sampling a bunch of stuff and mashing it. But it's all about the live show pretty much. He's not making getting super rich off it. Free downloads of his albums, how could he, what a dick.

i love live music, i go to shows all the time. I've seen all kinds of different bands. You can argue all you want about this guy not being a musician, i really don't care. label him what you will, he puts on one hell of a dance party.

The whole time it had great flow with a really unique mash of beats, some really different samples. All those people flowing together to the beat i think is awesome. It's a really cools experience. He's simply trying to bring that experience to people.

If you don't like it, you don't have to go. He gets like one jambase article every year, and a few festivals with his name almost at the end of the list, so just ignore it if you want.

And if you want to talk some negatives, I caught some of girl talks set at bonnaroo. Every one was goin nuts in there, i had to check it out. Dude could not even keep a beat. The beat did not flow at all. Maybe the 10 minutes i caught was the worst part of the whole set. But if you want to talk about over hyping, you finger pointers can start there first.

Sorry for the length. Noones gonna read it anyway. Just tired of all this hate in every article. Hopefully it's just just your typical internet haters and trolls, and not what the music scene is turning into.

People searching for articles just so that they can bring the rain clouds in.

Go find a show you like, and go rage it with a bunch of your friends. Have a good time. Just stop hating everything.

Just want to emphasize... Its not pretty lights is some major headlining act all the time.

If you don't like it you can easily skip it for other bands.

many other majorly overrated bands that continue to get headline slots.

I had a good time at pretty lights, if you hate it, just avoid it.

PL is hot! And they are going to continue to get bigger! I love them. They do a great job! I've seen them 4 time. Thier show are going to get bigger and trippier too. Yeah they sample but how can you say they rip off peoples music?? SOME of the samples are more enjoying then some of the songs he sampled and it is layered so much it's kinda hard to tell what songs he is sampling.

I agree, stop the hate and if you havn't seen them get out and get to a show!
