I like how Black Eyed Peas are the very last band listed, despite being probably the biggest band there. Good shit.

Tix are not $85. They are $122 + fees = $132.50

Fact check, people.

PooDolla- Last year Ghostland, Justice, STS9, Spititualized, Cold War were all great...

This year I'm pumped for Thievery...favorite show right now! Cake, Modest Mouse, Band of Horses, Bassnectar and Funking Chromeo...oh man...

one wish...make the set times a bit longer...

I'm not into the indie so much but this looks like a fest I could get down with for sure. I also thought it was nice to see the Black Eyed Peas at the bottom of the bill. Good for the Street Scene.

Crap! This used to be a great event and would attract decent bands from all genres - jam, punk, country, blues, jazz, reggae, etc... Everyone from Blues Traveler to Ben Harper to The Allmans playing in the "streets" (hence the name) of downtown SD. It was a mini Jazz Fest and something everyone looked forward to. Now every year it's mess. The line ups are weak, they rarely know where they are even going to hold it and the prices are ridiculous for the bands they attract. MIA is the headliner? Come on and go back to the roots of what made this a fun festival.

MaSonDiego- give the 'base a break! They have it up in plenty of time for anyone to get a ticket. See: Aidan Vaziri in last week's SF Chronicle Sunday Datebook running down our local festivals and other local concerts. Vaziri has reported this in plenty of time for people to get tickets but long after many of the shows/festies were announced. Still, plenty of time to get tix! Funny bits on High Sierra and Wilco:

Re the pricing fair call on that one, but people will find out upon trying to buy that the price is higher. Really no harm no foul. For the folks in SD going to to this for years I have to take your word for it but there are still some wonderful acts to check out, among them: Sharon Jones & the Dap Kings, Mastodon, Calexico, Blue Scholars, Extra Golden, Thievery. I hear that Black Joe Lewis & the Honey Bears are solid. Devendra Banhart. Chromeo is cool. I am sure EDC will be cool, but this is another kind of festie, not all dj "dance" electronic. This type of lineup helps people to open their ears a little and not just listen to the same kind of music all the time. Goes without saying but this fits the trend of recent years and other fests where overlap is major w/ other nearby festie: in this case Outside Lands Music & Art Festival, Golden Gate Park sf. We have some acts up here that Scene doesn't (Trombone Shorty & Orleans Ave, whoo hoo! Lucinda Williams! TVOTR! Ween! Tea Leaf!) and Scene gets some we don't have @ OLM&AF: Ozo, Black Joe Lewis, Bassnectar, Chromeo, Cake. Enjoy your fests people and don't whine too much, ppl! I will be back for more OLM&AF - I went all 3 days last year and loved it. Of course being this is same weekend I can't do both. Still trying to figure that one out (going to two shows simultaneously!) @-)
