at least they dropped Maroon 5 as co-headliner. Adam duritz is one of the most poetic songwriters and incredible singers out there.

Franti is a great, conscious artist. He's very good live, even though for some reason, its popular to hate on him these days. Counting Crows have some good songs. Not really in to them, but I would definitly see this show.

Wow. What a tool. I really wish Jambase would not post articles about this idiot. I wish the festivals would stop wasting my money booking him and put that money into bands that are actually talented and won't play the same set they did the weekend before at the last festival.

im not gna lie, jambase has put some weak stuff up here over the years but i also think that the people who jump to hate on these bands are a bunch of idiots who think in some way consider themselves to be "purists" of the scnene. and the sad thing is, a lot of them dont even know what they are talking about and will do whatever is the cool thing to do at the time. like lovemusical is saying, for some reason it is POPULAR to hate on a dude like franti these days. since when has the music community become about ganging together against any particular band or style in order to give their own taste some more credit in their own eyes. looking down on someone else doesnt bring you any higher. even though i do not really consider myself a fan of either of these acts, the fact is that they both bring their own thing to table and its important to appreciate that. not every band is a grateful dead, a phish or an allman. although there are plenty of sucky bands going around these days, i really dont think these two qualify. have a little respect for what music REALLY is because there are so many dimensions to it which are brought out in so many different ways, styles and bands. just because this isnt the crap you want to listen to these days does not mean that it is worthless. i also give them mad credit for trying to pull together and combine whatever forces they can together on stage. thats a real musical risk (and a great one) that most "good" bands are too scared to take these days. theres some good music and good vibes floating around out there and you just gotta relax and have fun with it all, take it for whatever it gives you. or dont. but please stop with all the hate garbage
