The man preaches truth and hits it square. Many times, seeing The Mother Hips, I have thought to have witnessed the salvation of rock n' roll. I have thought that what I hear NOW is something destined to be studied and remembered later. If you're missing these guys you have to sit back now and wonder why.

I was at this show and it was indeed a great show. I've been seeing the Mother Hips for 15 years and they just keep getting better. How these guys aren't household names I'll never know. I'm very pleased they will be on Jam Cruise and I plan on catching both of their shows. And to say the Stone Foxes were very good is a gross understatement. These kids blew my socks off.......just 4 very talented guys who can bring the heat. I highly recommend seeing them if you get the chance......great energy.
After leaving the show with my wife and two friends who have never seen any of the bands before my good friend turned to me and summed it up very nicely.......he just looked me in the eye and said, "GOD DAMN!" Next time I saw him he was listening to a Mother Hips cd...........

Dennis, as the writer on Jambase with the greatest mastery of the English language, I am so glad you are in the Hips' camp. This band largely remains the "greatest band you've never heard of," but with your continued effervescent reviews, this may soon change. I am so excited for my annual trip down to the big apple for springtime Hips. Though I wish they would tour more out east, I appreciate every moment of their music I am allowed to witness. They evoke all the good things about my time living in California.

I can still remember the day in 1993 jumping into my girlfriend's car (wasn't old enough to drive) from Yosemite down to S.L.O brewery to catch these guys....I have goosebumps. Ever since then, I have been hooked. Through all their ups and downs, I am ecstatic to see them as cohesive as they every have been!!! Keep it up guys, tour, tour, tour, everyone will love you. It is a new era. Fuck yeah.
