We were in 'Nawlins last weekend for my brothers wedding, when we found out the band playing the reception at his new in-laws house was none other than Kermitt Ruffins and his Barbeque Swingers! This man is one of the most humble and wonderful artists I've ever had the pleasure of meeting and hearing.And he played the shit out of that trumpet!!!

His name is awesome!

Kermit is the heart and soul of New Orleans, he is a hellua trumpet player, but may not be as technically adept at Irvin Mayfield on trumpet but when they "battle" it out as is common for New Orleans horn players to do, Kermit usually wins because of his showmanship. I wish I was at Jazz Fest. Long live NOLA!
