Tomorrow!! 6/10-- Ropeadope's 10th Anniversary Party - A Benefit For Scotty Hard

He has released two records with international distribution, composed award winning movie soundtracks, performed on BET and toured extensively across the United States. He has performed with the likes of Norah Jones, The Wailers, Widespread Panic and Robert Randolph and now he is coming to Sullivan Hall.

Presiding over his Funky Nation is Big Sam, formerly the trombonist for the Dirty Dozen Brass Band, who blows the funk out of his trombone and refuses to let the audience sit still.

Scythian Saturday - Check out the high-energy, adrenaline-peddling band Scythian. These classically trained musicians seamlessly blend kicked-up Celtic, folk and world music, and deliver it with a punk-rock sensibility. In a single song, they transport an audience across the globe with the alluring and dramatic strains of gypsy fiddles, the bounce of a Celtic reel, and then cross back over the border to pick up a klezmer hook and some good old-fashioned bluegrass licks.
