Americans aren't statistically as healthy because many live unhealty life styles. not because they choose not fit health care into their budget.

I don't really see the significance of this article.

People's personal health is exactly that....personal. If all these people in our country don't want to live healthy lifestyles and don't fit health care into their budget that is their issue.

Lord, I know that you are a pretty healthy person, minus the drugs, and you fit health care in to your budget because you know it's importance. The best thing to be done is to try to influence other people to do the same.

Here's a little slice of reality.

My mom, dad and younger brother have a group health insuance plan together. Their premium has gone from $700/month up to $1100/month. Here we go. I can't believe this is what some of you wanted. We are going to be paying out the asses to provide coverage for all these people with pre-existing conditions. We need to get this overturned as soon as possible.

I'm not saying that coverage should not be available for people with pre-existing conditions, I'm just saying that the financial burdans of their personal health should not be placed on to the general public.

The American healthcare system is a mess but its still one of, if not the best healthcare system in the world. The problem with our system is that the average American overuses their health insurance thats why it is so expensive! We need to make health insurance more like auto/ home owners insurance, meaning that it is only used in the case of a real emergency. We need to create real competition in healthcare.
