i love how the WAR hasnt even been a talking point

fuck both of these clowns

i have friends risking their lives for a bunch of assholes who dont give a fuck about them

i say bring our troops home

we should focus on nations who may someday declare nuclear war (iran china s korea) and let all the muslim countries go to hell..

to me thats the largest issue

I think we should probably leave S Korea alone and worry about N Korea.

I like how Obama said the only reason gas was at 1.86 when he took office is because the economy was in the tank. Lets think about this rationally. If gas is around 4 bucks now imagine what the prices would be like when the economy is booming say with 5% unemployment. What will it be 8 bucks a gallon. It was the dumbest statement I think he could have made. It is completely false any rational thinking person regardless of party should think deeply about it."

^actually, I think this would be the dumbest statement he could have made. I mean if you analyze the issue in a ridiculously simplistic manner, you could come up with this. BUt, if you look at it realistically, and factor in all of the issues which we were experiencing at the time, many of which we actually have overcome on Obama's watch, you can see that he's right. we are still recovering, sure, but the gas prices that did, in fact, plummet in the late part of '08 have had plenty of time and opportunity to correct and, so naturally, they have.

Gas price is one of the stupidest political ploys ever! People argue for more drilling in the US and act like that would bring down gas prices. Oil is an international commodity. All of the oil produced in the world goes into one big market, so the price of gasoline in America is determined by the available supply worldwide, not just here. Oil companies do not differentiate between oil that is produced in the US and oil that is produced elsewhere. Yes, producing more oil here would add to the overall supply and reduce prices fractionally, but the idea that oil that is drilled here is only used here is ridiculous.

Even if the US could produce as much oil as we consume, that would not mean that we would be "energy independent." It just means that the worldwide supply of oil would be greater so the cost would be somewhat lower.
