They were fun and I really enjoyed them for a few years. I'm sure it's still a decent show, but sometimes you outgrow things. The last time I saw them was Bonnaroo in 05.

Someone told me they went to see Tim solo once and that he was awful. He's a good pairing with Dave. One guy can shred and the other guy can sing and do a funny dance.

I've always heard mixed opinions on his solo, is one reason I asked.
I think Gerg always talks him up...but yeah...I know...
I guess you're right, someone's gotta shred while Dave has a spasm and yoddles on stage.

I saw Tim a few years ago solo, and it wasn't so good. Not terrible but not good.
Saw DMB probably 10 times. The last time was 1996, when there were so many 14 year olds in the crowd that I thought I was at a Hanson concert. This woman who brought her daughters came up to me and told me that if I didn't put out my cigarette, she was going to get security. I was in the pavilion, but in the back, where there is plenty of air. I told her to be my guest. She told them and they did nothing. She glared at me for the rest of the set. It was then I decided not to see him anymore. I was never the biggest fan anyway.
Next time I saw Dave, it was with Dave and Friends at the first Vegoose, and it was fucking great. If he ever tours with Troy and Tim again, don't hesitate to see him.

I've seen TR3 2 times and both shows were pretty amazing...idk about just Tim solo but i love how he plays with his trio and i love his voice...it's so terrible it sounds good
TR3 rips shit up...as i always say...most underrated guitarist in our jam scene

I saw DMB a few years ago at Deer Creek, wife wanted to go pretty bad, it was pretty good, we were in the lawn. But I did see Dave & friends at Bonnaroo in 04 and thought it was great. I would go see him again I think. I will be real curious for this new album.

I got pretty burnt out on DMB, but I don't hate them. I haven't seen them in a couple years. Maybe next year I will check them out again.

I think with them pushing Lillywhite's producer credit, they are going to try and get some of the old crowd back. If they don't now they never will. I too will wait for this album with cautious optimism.

Talking about Trey and Dave, and Roo 04.... The crowd (including myself) on Bathtub Gin/Them dancing on stage is classic. That was my first big fest, and that was awesome to be a part of. Then going into Thank You was so fitting.
