For the last 7 years I have been the head bartender at The Pendennis Club in Louisville, Kentucky, the birthplace of the cocktail known as the "Old Fashioned." It's one of the coolest buildings you've ever seen, and a historical landmark. But I have started a business, GrooveStreet.TV, which is going to be partnering up with the music review site Honest Tune to provide all the private performance, video interview and even concert and festival simulcasting. We did our first simulcast the other night, The Infamous Stringdusters show from Virginia where they announced their line up for "The Festy"!
So, it's official. This endeavor has been the secret heart of the travel/reality show I am filming, which is going into full regular production starting next week at Summer Camp, then on to Wakarusa and straight into Bonnaroo. Bands like moe., Cornmeal, Yonder, Greensky, and people like Franti, Gorge Porter Jr. and Del McCOury have all agreed to join in, and it's really going to be amazing. I am starting my life over, chasing my drams with financial backing and a team of friends helping me along the way.
I will not be posting every little thing we do, though I will throw out links to simulcasts, cause, let's face it, couch tour rules. Check out the site, which is stocked with past efforts from me and two of our principals, featuring concert performances interviews and private backstage stuff. We have hundreds of videos in our catalog we will be putting up, plus, obviously since fest season is upon us, so much more to come. Wish me luck folks, and I will see you out there on the road!
