todd stoops is the trey anastasio of KEYS.

Chris is Chris, borrows a little Trey style.

all three front guys, bass, guitar, keys, can sing very well, and the lyrics have that silly twist that is another reminder of phish. Hell they grew up in burlington VT, and they let phish influence them and it makes their music fill the void for my missing phish shows.

All I know, is, I enjoy their brand of high performance rock. I saw three shows in 2007 and each got better.

The albums do not do the songs justice like the shows do. The shows familiarized me with many tunes, that when I listened to the new cd Ton These again, I heard them in a different way. wayyy better :)

I think I saw phish first in 1991 in knoxville at the bijou. I enjoyed them the most up to 1993, then the scene HIT, and I had to wade through 200 hippies trying to sell me burritos.

they were so IN YOUR FACE about selling junk, more so than the dead crowd was.

Now I feel like I am seeing a NEW and different kind of band, that has the qualities Phish had. go raq go!! www.raqmusic.com

As far as a Phish comparison on the performance and quality and depth of sound or dimensional characteristics, or groove, or even composition, they fall short of putting phish and raq in the same sentance unless you say they believe in a good time, maybe

no offense they have a lot of time for improvement

eight years going so far!!

the second set of NYE really really got my attention.

first time I had heard them really do any electrofunk jams, face melting madness. :)

Raq is a great band w/ some dedicated fans. Both nights @ the Bijou for NYE was amazing. they may be a little "notey" but they can get away w/ it. They're just gonna keep growing so beware!

just enjoi raq's music, don't try to compare em to phish and others. raq is great, all around great, same w/ phish, etc. be glad that talented musicians are working hard for our enjoyment and hope it continues!
