The Wild and Scenic Chattooga River will get a little help when the 2nd annual Long Creek Music Festival returns, May 23-25, at Chattooga River Resort and Campground in Long Creek S.C.
Located on 34 wooded acres surrounded by Sumter National Forest in the Appalachian foothills, this year the festival has been expanded to 3 days and will offer camping, an arts and crafts village, a kids corner with games, circus performers, great foods and beverages, and multiple stages featuring an unprecedented (for this area) all-star lineup of artists from across the rock music spectrum, with the roaring Chattooga River only two miles away.
The festival benefits both American Whitewater and the Chattooga Conservancy.
Bringing scorching guitars, blazing vocals, pounding percussion and everything else you’ll need for sonic euphoria is a diverse lineup of artists: Col. Bruce Hampton, Truth & Salvage Company, The Wobblers, Lefty Williams Band, Terratonic, Jason Kenney, Mountain Hoodoo, Cary Hudson, The Fabulous Plowboys, Guilt Ridden Troubadours, Six Mile Sonic featuring Tony Tidwell, Peartree Music Company, and Gaslight Street.
The music happens rain or shine – our stage areas are covered. Advance tickets are $40 for the weekend kids under 12 free and includes primitive camping at the Chattooga River Resort (110 Blalock Place, Long Creek, SC 29658).
