Bear Creek Funk Festival, Live Oak, FL - Nov 2009
Thu 11/19/2009 9:48PM
THIS FEST IS AMAZING. I was skeptical of Florida music festivals since the ones I have attended let me down significantly; maybe I am just used to northern and western fests. BUT, this was truly a great time. Lettuce, Galactic, Soulive, On the One, Bonerama, Ivan Nevilles Dumpstafunk, Yonrico Scott, New Mastersounds, and too many more to mention, not including guests like Bernie Worrell, Derek Trucks, and such.
Cutting to the chase, Galactic was amazing; they played Tecknochek Collision by Slavic Soul Party from NYC on Sunday-amazing both nights. Lettuce was also amazing-YAY Kininger. I also enjoyed Krasno sitting in with what felt like alsmost every band that played. I got to see about 30 shows from about start to finish and this is one of my favorite Festivals since Endless Moutains Fest in PA (which has been canceled indefinitley for the past couple years, :-(   )
I WILL ATTEND THIS FESTIVAL FOR AS LONG AS THEY CONTINUE TO HAVE IT!!!!!!!
