End of the year lists are always fun, but following a year with new releases from the likes of Radiohead, LCD Soundsystem and Burial this year had a lot to live up to and didn't quite do it.  2008 wasn't all that bad though so here is a run down of what caught my ear and held on.

Earlier tonight Billboard posted the press release for the initial Austin City Limits announcement...

"Foo Fighters, Robert Plant & Alison Krauss, Beck, Manu Chao, John Fogerty, David Byrne, the Raconteurs and the Mars Volta are among the top acts booked for this year's Austin City Limits Music Festival, set for the city's Zilker Park from Sept. 26-28
