About me:I'm a journalist based in Central Arkansas, working at a small daily newspaper during the day and covering live music on a freelance basis in my spare time. I've worked for large dailies, weeklies and monthy publications, writing about from everything business (Wal-Mart Stores Inc.'s world headquarters and global business practices) to neighborhood entertainment (bluegrass jam sessions at the local fire stations). But my favorite thing to write about is easily jam-band music. That's largely because you never know what's going to happen in a show, or who's going to pop up on stage to sit in — far more exciting, musically, than watching a band simply see how closely it can mimic its studio recordings! Jam on.
