About me:Serdar G: Guitars, charango, ud, cura, vocals, percussions

Born in in Ankara - Turkiye in 1974. In 1986 he started to play guitar after his father showed him how to read chord charts. He graduated from TED Ankara College in 1991 and started working professionally as a guitar player. Since then he has played with a wide range of people in Europe and in North America. Serdar has a determination of becoming a better musician through hard work. For this reason, Serdar learned to play wide range of musical styles. Some of these styles include Blues, Punk Rock, Calypso, Reggae, Ska, Soca, Funk, Hip Hop, Traditional and Classical Turkish Music, Pop, Rock, Experimental Music and Rock Opera. Basically, Serdar loves playing good music of all different genres that contributes to mutual share of emotions.

He has played in well known Reggae, Calypso and Soca Bands in US. Some of these bands include Cyril Paul and the Calypso Monarchs, IRoots, Shangoya and two time Minnesota Music Awards winner Dred I Dread. Serdar also opened for The Wailers, Yellowman, Israel Vibration, Culture, The Itals, The Meditations, De La Soul and many other international acts.

Serdar has an electrical engineering degree from Istanbul Technical University and a MBA from Metropolitan State University.
